Lionheart Cattery is home to highly titled British Shorthairs, including TICA Best in Show Winners recognized across the United States and abroad. As world-renowned  representatives of the breed, our cats are celebrated for their  exceptional health, affectionate temperaments, and luxurious "plush"  coat—noted for its dense, "crispy" texture. 

We are committed to preserving the traditional "Cheshire Cat" look through rigorous pedigree selection and bloodline purity. Every kitten  is raised with care, arriving at their new home at four months old—fully  vaccinated, micro-chipped, and litter/scratching-post trained. We prioritize health and heritage, ensuring every kitten is: accompanied by a veterinary health certificate and a formal purchase contract.

We love cats, but we find the British Shorthair particularly fascinating  and affectionate. Often dubbed the 'Aristocrat' of cats, this  breed is renowned for its calm, dignified demeanor and plush, round  cheeks. These 'teddy bear' cats feature dense coats and sturdy, muscular  bodies, and their easygoing nature makes them the perfect, quiet family  companions.

They  are generally very easy to take care of, friendly, and kind, making  them excellent pets that get along with everyone—especially kids!  Because they are so easy to train, they’ve even become stars in films  and commercials. While they are independent, they do enjoy the company  of another cat with a similar temperament, so you might even consider getting two!
